The Lafayette Library and Learning Center is located in the heart of Lafayette at the corner of Mount Diablo Boulevard and First Street. It is within walking distance of Lafayette Elementary, Stanley Middle School, senior housing, the Lafayette BART Station and many of the community's neighborhoods and shopping areas.
The facility offers an expanded collection of books and audiovisual materials, 43 public computers, a Technology & Multipurpose Lab, a Teen Center, a large Children’s area , a Homework Center, meeting rooms, an outside amphitheater, two outside decks, an expansive Community Hall for programs and other large scale events, and more than 80 on-site parking spaces. The Lafayette Library and Learning Center hosts a wealth of collaborative lectures, workshops, exhibits, films, music series, and other programs for the community throughout the year. Accessible entrances on every level of the facility provide convenience and easy access for all patrons.
